Holy cow...I sucked down the water today to counter act the cheese.  I had not gone grocery shopping this weekend and was very limited on what I had.  I went shopping this evening so I'm thinking that tomorrow will be much better.  I went swimming and walking and bike riding today.

Sunday, June 7, 2009

I got up late and ran around getting ready.  I knew this would be a bad day and headed out the door w/out breakfast.  At the graduation, I had a brat and bun w/mustard.  Carrots, celery, green pepper, and mushrooms...potato salad and macaroni salad.  I drank water or diet 7-up and had 2 pieces of cake that I popped in my mouth...small white and sugary.
Coming home from Ft. Wayne...I realized I was hungry and grabbed a Whopper Jr. w/ cheese.
I don't know what my deal was.  I obsessed about this all the way home and stopped in a got it and ate it.  It was exactly what I was looking for.  Completely satisfying.  Just what I expected and had obsessed over for an hour.
I had the rest of the box.  About 15.
Wow...binge day.  It's gonna be interesting to see how often this happens.  In my mind it's a rare thing.  But I am wondering if maybe it's not so rare.  It was a bit all or nothing and there was so much smoking at the party.  At one point I grabbed the gentleman's hand next to me and took a big smell of his cigar.  I was jones-ing for a cigarette so bad but did not partake.  I would have told you that eating had not taken the place of smoking before today.  I am thinking I may be off with that thought.  When I was really out of hand I couldn't even take pictures.  Wow.

6-6 the return home

Breakfast
  • 1 slice wheat toast
  • 1/2 cup scrambled eggs
  • 1 sausage patty
  • 3 pieces bacon
Lunch
2 Chicago style polish sausages.
No fries (-:
  • 2 buns
  • 2 sausages
  • 2 dill pickle spears
  • sport peppers
  • 1 slice tomato
  • yellow mustard
  • sautéed onions
I parked in a Taco Bell parking lot about 1/2 way home and slept.  I was too tired to drive and needed a nap.  After the nap, I ran through the drive through and got a frutista freeze pina colada to wake myself up.  The sugar helped.  It had pineapple floating on the top.  Really all in all too sweet.Dinner.
Gosh this spinach salad hit the spot.
  • 2 cups spinach greens
  • 1 large green onion
  • buttermilk, yogurt (both low fat) ranch dressing 3 Tbsp
Dinner.  1 cup left over lentils and rice.  It was really good cold and oh so nice to have walking in the door from the brutal trip.
Not my best day admittedly.  I'm at least posting all the crap I'm shoving in my mouth.

6-5 on the road to Chicago

Buzzed and still hungry, I went back for more...artichoke and spinach dip, wheat crackers, hummus, pita chips.  I know that I nibbled walking by the table...2 more pieces of summer sausage.
The sangria was excellent and I ended up having 3 wine glasses and 1 beer.  Whew.
This was dinner of sorts.  I went to Chicago for book club and they always have wine and finger food.  I knew it would be a calorie laden affair, so I conserved my calories until I got there.  Probably not the best plan.  Summer sausage, cheese, artichoke and spinach dip, crackers and tortilla chips.  Sangria in the glass.
This was breakfast.
  • 1 orange
  • 3 tostadas
  • 1 scrambled egg in 1/2 a sausage (Mexican Charizzo)
Wow...I'm still getting a handle on posting these pictures...so everything is a bit bassackwards.

6-4 dinner

This was not pretty but it was very tasty!
Lentils and rice
1/2 cup carrots/celery/onions
1 tsp olive oil
1 cup brown rice
1/2 cup lentils
3 cups vegetable broth

Brown veggies in olive oil.  Add broth and bring to a boil.  Add rice and lentils.  Cook on low for 40 min.

I had 1 1/4 cup.

6-4 dinner

This salad was for dinner...
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 large green onion
  • 8 leaves lime basil
  • lime/flaxseed oil vinaigrette

lunch 6-4

Ok yep...this isn't so easy to do. I tried to make it look appealing but to no avail. I missed breakfast today...due to blissful sleeping in. Love, love, loved it and don't get to do it often. This was a tasty little treat. The rice/chicken combo was made last night. I poached the chicken in the water as the rice was cooking...and added paprika and kashmir curry. The curry gave it heat and the paprika gave it sweet...very nice.
  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1/2 chicken breast
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 large green onion
  • flaxseed oil and rice wine vinaigrette
